Roger Federer was born on 8 August,1981 in Basel, Switzerland. This Swiss professional tennis player has a net worth of $450 million and total Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) career earnings of $105 million as of July 2017. He is currently ranked world No. 5 by the ATP.

Considered as the greatest tennis player of all time around the world, Federer started his professional career in 1998. He was the No. 1 ranked player in the world for 237 consecutive weeks out of spent 302 weeks, the most of any men’s tennis player since 1973. He has set the record for winning 7 out of 10 Wimbledon Men’s Singles titles and has won 6 ATP World Tour Finals.

Federer belongs to a winner of Grand Slam on three different surfaces: hard, grass and clay courts. He has won an all-time record of 63 hard court titles, 7 Cincinnati Masters 1000 titles, and 7 Swiss Indoors titles. He is the only player to win a men’s record of 18 Grand Slam singles different titles: Australian Open for 5 times, French Open in 2009, Wimbledon for 7 times, and US Open for 5 times. He has won the Olympic gold medal in doubles with his partner Stan Wawrinka in 2008 Summer Olympic Games and the Olympic silver medal in singles at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games. He represented Switzerland winning Davis Cup in 2014. He was continuously ranked in the top 10 from October 2002 to November 2016.

Federer is not only a famous tennis player but also a philanthropist who has contributed for promoting the humanity of the world. In 2003, he established the Roger Federer Foundation with the main aim of helping disadvantaged children and promoting their access to education and sports. From 2003 until 2012, he was awarded with the Fans’ Favorite Award from the ATPWorldTour.com; the Arthur Ashe Humanitarian of the Year Award in 2006; the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award for a record eight times, from 2004- 2009, in 2011 and 2012; and the Laureus World Sportsman of the Year award for a record four times, from 2005-08.
